Fall happenings...so far!

So a lot has happened since the last post and I promise I will try to post more frequently. Luke had his 4 month check up and we got the go ahead to start food. He weighed 17 lbs and 25 1/4 inches long and of course, in true Shapton fashion, he was in the 90th percentile for everything. Trevor was so proud.
Sooo...Luke had his first taste of cereal. And he LOVED it!!!
He then had another first experience, courtesy of the Hoyt's...the jumparoo! He wasn't so sure about it at first and would just rock side to side but soon figured it out and now loves to jump.Uncle Trevor and Aunt Kala came to visit and we went to Festival Acadiens for the cajun experience of Zydeco music and po boys. This was seriously the best peach cobbler I have ever eaten...sorry Mom.

Although...not so much cajun...some decided to partake of the beverages offered at the festival.

It was super hot...good thing Luke isn't modest...love the rolls on that little boy!
Hopefully, I will find time to post again soon. There are a lot of things coming up in the next few weeks. We are so excited about Luke's first Halloween and looking forward to visiting the pumpkin patch soon.

If at first you don't succeed...try, try, try again...

So...umm...yeah, my first attempt at blogging was pretty pitiful to say the least. However, I have been inspired lately to pick the hobby back up (thanks Emily).

So there have been big changes around here since my last post. Namely, we had a baby...Luke Trevor Shapton was born on June 3. He has been the most amazing adventure we have had to date. He is almost 4 months old now and his new accomplishment is this high pitched squeal. He is also learning to reach and grab objects that he wants...which almost always end up going in the mouth. These following pictures were taken recently while visiting in Tennessee.

So hopefully my new found zeal for blogging will continue...
